With a penchant for photorealistic painting of Nature, especially birds, I’ve studied feathers for years.  I obtain them from my network of worldwide providers (e.g., fly fishing suppliers, pheasant & parrot sanctuaries, etc.).  As a plumassier, I strive to highlight the essence of feathers.  And given their sheer diversity in size, shape, color, texture, flexibility, iridescence, and patterns, I’ve developed over 400 designs (and counting).

My feather art has been featured on the cover of élan (magazine) whose longstanding Art Director exclaimed it to be unprecedented.  She’s correct -- there is nothing like it anywhere in the marketplace as I push the boundaries of showcasing feathers in a totally new way.  Recently I founded a visual and literary arts company, Plume, as part of a plan to develop a website, and market, display, and sell my works.

Attached are the élan cover shoot, feature article, and a photo of one of my paintings from a few years ago.  Also attached are thumbnail examples of my work, where the beauty and intricacy of the plumes are best appreciated enlarged.

See ““Haight Ashbury” under the Contemporary Series, which is part of my “Hendrix” Group of works strongly inspired by the Hippie movement peaking during our AHS’s junior & senior years.  Since graduating, I’ve visited Haight-Ashbury neighborhood in San Francisco several times as part of picking up that vibe. Right on, groovy, Man!

Enjoy!
