Mike Taylor was a very good friend of mine. He and I met in 1959, when our families moved to a newly built subdivision on Brookcrest Place off of Gallows Road. My brother, Peter and Mike became good friends over the years. Where you found one, you would find the other. I found it amazing that we were all classmates at Annandale High School, Class of '71.
Mike's father, Richard, owned an Automobile Service Station. His mother, Norma, was a stay at home mom, as Mike then had two younger brothers, Steven and Billy, that had to be taken care of. The family would later welcome a little sister, Sharon, that was born on Independence Day, July 4th.
Our families became great friends over the years, but somehow lost touch when my mother passed away in 1983. My father moved away, even though he rented out our family home. By that time, Peter and i were already out on our own.
I'm really going to miss Mike Taylor. Rest in peace, Mike..you were the best. I'll never forget you. My sincere condolences to the family. I'll see you again, Mike, when it comes my time to take my step from this Earth, into God's Heavenly Kingdom. We have alot to catch up on.
