To Gregory's family and friends,

I am a paralegal with Crowell Law Offices and I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Gregory's passing. He was such a sweet man, and truly a pleasure to talk to. From the handful of times I spoke with him, I could tell that he had a great heart. My deepest condolences go out to you all for your loss, from all of us here at the firm.

I have spoken with Gregs wife. He had a stroke and complications from it. He was living in Citrus Heights Cal. With our good friend and wife Jennet. I am going to call her shortly since it is Valintines Day.  Maybe she will let me come see her and get out of this COLD!

In 6th grade at Masonville Greg sat across the aisle from me in Ms. McElfresh's class. He was SO bad and SO funny,  I simply adored him. Having five younger brothers, no boy's behavior shocked me, but he was both better and worse than all of them combined. I'll never forget him, even if my memory is stuck in 1964-65.

In one particular incident, the teacher left the room and told us put our heads down on our desk until she returned. The minute she was left the room he jumped out of his seat and went into some creative comedy bit I couldn't believe. Of course, I tried not to look for fear of "getting in trouble" but I could 't help myself. He caught me peeking and immediately zeroed in on my overly-obedient self.  Of course, I loved the attention but more than anything, I loved his chutzpah, fearlessness, and complete disregard for authority. It was so impressive. Even though we went to Poe and AHS together, we never shared a class again, but I NEVER forgot him and always wondered where he went. I sure he's up there in the beyond, behaving badly and cracking everyone up, exactly the same as he did in the 6th grade. What a great memory.   kp
