Patricia Ann “Patty” McCartney, 63, Springfield, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 in her home.  She was born February 11, 1953 in Lincoln, NE, daughter of N.L. “Mac” and Helen McCartney. 

Patty graduated from Annandale High School, Annandale, VA and attended Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA.  She retired from City Utilities in Springfield, MO.

Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Helen.

She is survived by her father, Mac McCartney; sister, Deborah McCartney; brother, Patrick McCartney and wife, Sharon; and two nieces, Hannah and Rebecca.  The family would like to thank Patty’s special group of friends and Hospice Compassus for all the love and support they have given.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McCartney Fund, dedicated to cancer research, c/o Community Foundation of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 8960, Springfield, MO 65801.
