I cannot even tell you how much I will miss you; there aren’t enough words. Love you John and I hope heaven is as awesome as they say it is and I know I’ll see you one day.  Watch over us and I know you’ll be our special angel!

Oh dear, how sad this is to hear.  Whoever called me last night and got my husband, thanks.  I couldnt believe it.  So glad that John was able to get to the reunion and see a lot of our classmates but sorry I wasn't there.  I also did not know about Hospice.  Rest in peace John.

I was deeply saddened to hear from Vicky of the passing of John yesterday.  I am so glad that I got a chance to chat with John at some length at the reunion party that was held at Kilroy's in Annandale.  It was great to talk about what he had been doing and to reminisce about the good old days in Annandale.  Rest in Peace my friend.

I was shocked and so sorry to hear about John.  He was always a fun guy to be around.  He had a refreshing attitude, a great laugh and was very sincere.  I'm so happy we were able to spend some time together at the last reunion party, catching up and sharing great memories.  We'll all miss you buddy!

Jennie and I spent an afternoon with John this spring when we went to OBX for Mr Secules funeral. It was like we had been hanging out forever. I have been incontact with him since. Helping him with some issues on his Corvette. He really liked that Car. I had no idea he was in Hospice.

Laura , that was me that called. I knew you would want to know.

RIP

Thanks Fred for the call, you got Paul on his cellphone, mine is 803-460-8285 (I used to have that #).  I just couldn't believe what he was saying and then checked the computer.  We had a lot of fun as kids and teenagers.  I sure had no idea (as he wanted I guess) that he was sick.  Gosh, we are losing too many friends, and sadly, that means time is really marching on.  Thanks for thinking of me, my friend.  Be well and take care.  LAURA

At Kilroy's on Friday night of our 45th class reunion we sat facing each other, smiles on our faces, staring off into the distance with nothing but memories of our days at Annandale High School on our minds, Jim Burden, Phil Conaty, Robbie Lindholm, John Meana, and myself. John was in heaven, truly in heaven and couldn't stop smiling because he was suurounded by friends.  I hadn't seen John in 45 years but he hadn't changed much well, except for his hair. We traded stories about The Vienna Inn and their famous Chili dogs and onion rings. John wasn't able to stay for our Saturday activities and that was the last time he and I spoke. As we parted ways he told me that I was always welcome to visit. Sadly, the next contact was John's email about Coach Secules' passing and then Steve Early's passing.. John was our eyes and ears and kept us up to date on the funeral plans as we said goodbye to both... Now, sadly we're saying goodbye to John, another stark reminder that we all share the frailties of mortal life. On a brighter note - Below is a collage of John at KIlroy's and his corvette! -Paul.
